Platform review

Is Binance available in Kosovo? Yes, with some real gaps

Binance lists Kosovo as available and runs the deepest euro P2P market. But Kosovo banks are absent from its P2P ads, its only listed licence is in Abu Dhabi, and a EUR SWIFT route for Kosovo accounts is unconfirmed.

“Is Binance available in Kosovo?” is one of the most common crypto searches from Kosovo, and with good reason: for many people here Binance is simply where you buy USDT from other people. This review separates fact from hearsay: Kosovo’s status on Binance’s own list, what trading costs, what the euro P2P market really looks like for someone with a Kosovo bank account, and what the licences do and don’t cover.

Kosovo’s status on Binance’s own list

Short answer: yes. Binance keeps a region list in its help centre with a status for each country, and on 18 August 2026 Kosovo was marked “Available”. You can register, choose Kosovo as your country of residence and complete verification with a Kosovo ID card or passport.

“Available” is not the same as “licensed in Kosovo”. Kosovo passed a dedicated crypto law, Law No. 08/L-295, in 2024, and the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) now licenses crypto operators. On the CBK’s list of 15 October 2026 there is exactly one: CoinPrime SH.P.K. in Ferizaj. Binance is not on it, and neither is any other global exchange. The CBK has not clarified whether online platforms serving Kosovo residents from abroad need a local licence. Practically, that means there is no Kosovo regulator to complain to if something goes wrong. Our guide to Kosovo’s crypto law explains the framework.

Binance on the ground in Prishtina

Binance is not a distant app for Kosovars; it has shown up in person. At BlockTalk Prishtina on 10–11 May 2025, which Telegrafi reported drew more than 2,000 attendees, Binance was among the sponsors. Around June 2025 Binance held its own meetup in Prishtina and reported on X that more than 700 people came. For the Balkans Blockchain Summit at KlanArena on 23–24 May 2026, Binance was announced as an expected participant.

That visibility is why the Binance logo turns up so often in Kosovo Telegram and Facebook groups, and also why scammers borrow it. Most self-styled “Binance agents” or “trainers” on social media have nothing to do with the company. Nobody from Binance will ask you to send money to a private account or to share verification codes. Real cases from Kosovo are collected in our crypto scams guide.

What you pay: spot, card, P2P and OTC

Trading fees are among the lowest at large exchanges: 0.10% as a and 0.10% as a taker at the base tier, or 0.075% if you pay fees in BNB. For most Kosovo users, though, the real cost sits in how euros get onto the platform.

The order in which you do things matters. Buy €500 of Bitcoin directly on P2P at around a 5% premium and you lose roughly €25. Buy USDT on P2P at a 0.8% premium instead, about €4, then swap that USDT for Bitcoin on the spot market at 0.10%, another €0.50, and the total falls to about €4.50. We have no confirmed card-fee figure for Kosovo-issued cards: the blog post citing “up to 2%” is old, so check the amount on screen before you confirm.

The euro P2P market, as we found it on 20 October

is the main reason people in Kosovo pick Binance. You choose an ad, Binance locks the seller’s USDT in , you pay the seller by their chosen method, and once they confirm, the USDT is released to you. You usually have 15 minutes to pay.

At 13:46 UTC on 20 October 2026 we pulled a snapshot from Binance’s public P2P API, using a non-Kosovo account, so the ads you see may differ slightly. Spot USDT was €0.889. Sell offers ran €0.893–0.900, or 0.4% to 1.2% above market. The most common payment methods were SEPA Instant (98 ads), Wise (90), BBVA (46), N26 (44), SEPA (41), Paysera (31) and bank transfer (30). Revolut: zero ads. Cash in person: zero. Not a single Kosovo bank was listed.

If your only account is at Raiffeisen, ProCredit or TEB, euro P2P is less straightforward than YouTube tutorials suggest. SEPA and SEPA Instant don’t work from Kosovo accounts because Kosovo is not yet in the SEPA scheme. Kosovo banks have published no policy on payments to P2P sellers, so we can’t tell you whether such a transfer would prompt questions. Always pay from an account in your own name, and only to the name shown on the ad; a seller asking you to pay a third person is a red flag. The calculator at the top shows what a seller’s premium costs on your amount, and our guide to buying USDT in Kosovo covers networks and pitfalls.

Getting euros in and out from Kosovo

For Kosovo residents Binance offers three main euro routes: Visa or Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and P2P. Cards issued by Kosovo banks count as non-EU cards. We could not confirm a EUR SWIFT bank-deposit route for Kosovo accounts, which is a clear gap next to platforms that accept one. If you bank in Germany or Switzerland the picture is different; that belongs to our guide on sending money home to Kosovo with crypto.

A Bitcoin coin resting on dollar banknotes
On Binance, most Kosovo users turn crypto back into euros through P2P rather than a bank withdrawal.

Cashing out is the same in reverse: sell USDT on P2P to a buyer who pays into Paysera or another account you use, and release the coins only once you see the money in your account, not after a screenshot. Never release based on a chat message. To compare with ATMs and exchange offices that pay out cash, see selling crypto for cash in Kosovo. Above $200,000, Binance OTC will quote you directly, though that applies to very few people in Kosovo.

Licences: what the official page shows

When we checked Binance’s licence page on 20 October 2026, it listed only authorisations from Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), issued by its Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) to the group’s “Nest” entities. Binance holds no licence. Secondary sources report that Binance has pulled back from parts of the EU or withdrawn its MiCA application; we have not confirmed that from an official source.

For someone in Kosovo, the missing MiCA licence changes little directly, since MiCA protects EU customers and Kosovo is a third country. What matters is that no Kosovo or EU regulator oversees your relationship with Binance. If that bothers you, compare with CEX.IO, which holds FinCEN and FCA registrations, or with the locally CBK-licensed operator.

Pros and cons, in concrete terms

What you get

  • Kosovo marked “Available” on the region list (18 Aug 2026).
  • 0.10% spot fee, or 0.075% with BNB: €0.50 per €500 traded.
  • The deepest euro P2P market: USDT from +0.4% over market.
  • Paysera among P2P payment methods, with 129 ads for USDT buyers.
  • An OTC desk quoting from $200,000.
  • A visible presence at crypto events in Prishtina (2025–2026).

What to watch

  • No Kosovo bank among P2P payment methods (20 Oct 2026).
  • Zero cash-in-person ads and zero Revolut ads.
  • BTC/EUR P2P has only 13 ads, at about a 5% premium.
  • EUR SWIFT deposits for Kosovo accounts unconfirmed.
  • Card fee (up to ~2%) comes from an old source and is unconfirmed.
  • Licence page shows ADGM only; no MiCA and no CBK licence.

Who it suits, and when to look elsewhere

Binance fits people with a Paysera or EU bank account who want USDT close to the market rate and are willing to follow P2P rules with discipline. Active traders get a clear edge from the 0.10% fee and deep liquidity.

If all you have is a Kosovo card and a local bank account, P2P often turns into a hunt for a seller who accepts what you’ve got. In that case a platform with SWIFT deposits and an Albanian-language site makes more sense: read our CEX.IO review. If you want P2P plus a MiCA entity for relatives in the EU, see the Bybit review and OKX in our exchange reviews. And for cash over the counter from a licensed operator, the nearest option is CoinPrime.

Frequently asked questions

Is Binance available in Kosovo?

Yes. On the region list in Binance’s help centre, Kosovo was marked “Available” on 18 August 2026. You can open an account and verify with Kosovo documents. That is not the same as being licensed by Kosovo’s central bank, which Binance is not.

Can I use Binance P2P with a Kosovo bank account?

In our 20 October 2026 snapshot, no Kosovo bank appeared among the payment methods on USDT/EUR ads. Paysera did, with 129 ads for buyers and 26 for sellers, and Paysera has held an e-money licence from the Central Bank of Kosovo since 2020. More in P2P crypto in Kosovo.

How much are Binance trading fees?

The base spot fee is 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker, falling to 0.075% if you pay fees in BNB. On a €500 trade that is €0.50, or about €0.38 with BNB.

Can I withdraw euros from Binance to my bank in Kosovo?

We could not confirm a EUR SWIFT withdrawal route for Kosovo accounts. In practice, people sell USDT on P2P to a buyer who pays into Paysera or another account they use. All cash-out options are compared in selling crypto for cash in Kosovo.

Is Binance regulated in the EU?

Binance’s official licence page lists only Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) authorisations from the FSRA. It holds no MiCA licence. Secondary sources report an EU pull-back or withdrawn MiCA application; we have not confirmed that from an official source.

What is the minimum for Binance OTC?

Binance’s OTC desk takes quote requests from $200,000. For amounts above €10,000 but below that, see OTC crypto trading in Kosovo.
